I know why you’re here. It’s Monday morning and you just aren’t ready for the weekend to be over. Shake off those Sunday Scaries by easing into your work week with me. I spent my morning sipping a cup of tea, passively watching the local news, and hunting for the best deals on the best products so you can avoid getting a “good” deal on something that actually kind of sucks.
I take a few things into consideration when deciding what actually is the best deal. First, I seek out products that you would actually be interested in, based on what data I have about what people like to buy. Then, I look at the price. Is it actually on sale or are the numbers a ruse to make you feel like you’re getting a deal? After that, I look at whether it’s worth buying. If we’ve reviewed it and it performed at or above expectations, it’s a good deal. If we haven’t reviewed it, but it has high marks from other reviews and from consumer reviews, it’s a safe bet too. Everything else? Not on this list. So let’s
1. The best 4K TV at its best ever
The LG C8 is the best TV we tested in 2018, and 2019 has yet to see a new TV that outshines it. Right now, you can get the C8 for the absolute best price we’ve ever seen, a whopping $200 less than we’ve ever seen on Amazon. The lowest until now was through Massdrop, which required patience and provided slower shipping times to secure that low price. But now that LG and other big name TV makers are getting ready to release their 2019 lineups to the world, we’re finally starting to see these prices drop on last year’s models at Amazon. And that means free two-day shipping if you’ve got Prime too.
If you’re looking for something a little more affordable, you can pick up the 55-inch TCL Roku 4K TV for just $420 at Amazon too. This is $30 less than usual, marking the best price we’ve ever seen for this impressive budget TV. If you want to go ever cheaper, the slightly less impressive TCL Series 4 55-inch is on sale for $338 at Walmart (down from $368) too. It doesn’t feature voice control, and some users had issues with screen flickering, but it’s super affordable so might still be more than worth it.
2. The two best Instant Pots—both on sale
Instant Pot is a household name after quickly gaining a cult-following over the last few years. These electric pressure cookers are amazing for cooking meals at home because they cut down the amount of time it takes to cook and the amount of work you need to do. Right now, not one but two models are on sale, and you don’t want to miss it.
The DUO60 7-in-1 is the most popular model and a great budget buy at just $70 (down from $100). I’ve got one, loads of my friends have one. It has changed my life. I hardly ever order takeout or resort to frozen pizza for dinner thanks to my IP. This sale price is the second best we’ve ever seen.
If you want something a little fancier or newer, we recommend the Instant Pot Smart WiFi. This model came out in November, and it blew the competition (including the DUO60) our of the water in our tests. We named it the Best Electric Pressure Cooker of 2019 because it cooked more consistently than the other models, and it was extremely easy to use. Plus, it has an app that lets you program your cook right from your phone. And if you don’t want to use the app, you don’t need to.
And if you already own an Instant Pot? Today’s a great day to stock up on the best Instant Pot-branded accessories to make your pressure cooking experience even more life-changing. We recommend starting with a second inner pot (perfect if you want to cook when the first is in the dishwasher) and the glass lid that lets you simmer your soups without the big, cumbersome pressure lid in the way.
3. The best handheld vacuum—back to its Black Friday price
If you’ve got a big canister vacuum to clean most of your messes, you know how annoying and sometimes downright impossible it can be to suck away the crumbs and dust bunnies in hard to reach places. Maybe it’s time you invested in something more convenient.
The best handheld vacuum we’ve ever tested, a Dyson, is currently on sale for the same low price we saw on Black Friday. It originally sold for $240, and has been hovering between $200 and $200 for the last few months, but now it’s back to its best sale price ever.
We were impressed that it picked up 75% of the dirt and debris we laid out for testing, blowing the competition out of the water. It has a 30-minute battery life on low power and lasts for seven minutes on high, which is plenty of time to suck away all those spilled Cheerios.
4. Two robot vacuums from a top brand at their best prices
We’ve tested a lot of robot vacuums over the years, and Eufy is almost always at the top of the pile when it comes to the affordable models. Right now, you can get big discounts on the RoboVac 30 and 35C models, and we’re stoked.
While we haven’t tested these models officially, we’re more than confident recommending them. Eufy, a division of Anker, has a habit of making upgrades to their robot vacuums constantly, which means every new model is an improvement of previous generations. We know, we’ve seen the results in our labs.
The RoboVac 30, which originally cost $270, comes with 13.2 feet of boundary strips and has a 100-minute cleaning time on a single charge. It also claims to operate at a lower volume than many other models. If you pay another $45, you’ll be able to connect the RoboVac 35C vacuum to a smartphone app over WiFi, meaning you can start a cleaning cycle even when you’re already at work. The 35C also comes with 6.6 feet of boundary strips (about half what you get with the 30) and like the RoboVac 30, promises up to 100 minutes of cleaning without being too noisy.
An award-winning smart plug set—practically two-for-one
Eufy makes the best affordable smart plug we’ve ever tested, and right now you can get a two-pack for a few dollars more than the cost of a single plug. The two-pack usually costs $40, and this discount matches the best we’ve seen.
We love the small size that doesn’t block other outlets, which is thankfully becoming more common among these devices. It’s also got impressive WiFi range, making it easy to use in any room of the house, and it works with Alexa and Google Assistant too.
